Diesel generator sets
Diesel generators are usually used in Belgium as an emergency power
application. These generators
will produce power through a diesel engine and alternator to power the consumer if the
primary power
source fails. These generators are used in hospitals, airports or other places where a
prolonged
power failure can cause problems.
Since 2019, Blinx has been working with Cummins as a partner for diesel generators
with a capacity
between 17 and 450kVA. Cummins has a large distribution center (CUMMINS Global
Logistics) in
Belgium, which means that many of the generators are in stock, which means that a fast delivery time
is often possible.
Cummins also has automatic Normal - Emergency switchboards.
This ATS board
ensures that the generator set automatically starts up in the event of a main
failure. This ATS
board also disconnects the consumer from the mains supply and automatically switches to the
generator supply.
The diesel generator sets are available in an open
version as well as in a
sound-absorbing housing version. Depending on the application, an open version or a
version in
housing can be chosen. The generators also have a built-in fuel tank as
standard. However, if longer
autonomy is required, we can also provide an additional additional fuel installation. Blinx
provides
both the installation, commissioning and maintenance of
the diesel generator sets.
